Hey everyone, it’s Jeremy from Ochsner Insurance with another unfiltered edition of Jeremy’s Journal, where we dive into the highlights and challenges of the week ending April 19th.
Networking Efforts:
- Attended two networking events where I pitched our need for an account manager. We’re searching for a unicorn candidate with exceptional people skills, organizational prowess, and a knack for selling small commercial and personal lines insurance.
Activity Overview:
- Lots of administrative tasks kept us busy, unfortunately no cold marketing drops this week.
- Despite the administrative workload, we had numerous new business appointments, including referrals from the mining and green business sectors. Closed a personal lines deal and two life cases, all in pre-underwriting.
Account Manager (Unicorn) Search:
- The pressing need for an account manager stems from the high volume of admin and service work. We can’t afford to neglect current clients while pursuing new business opportunities. Looking to bring in an account manager to bridge this gap, who also likes to sell.
Exploring Solutions:
- Explored an exciting opportunity with an insurance agency app that integrates seamlessly with our management system. Offers comprehensive functionality for managing policies, claims, and more. Excited about the potential to enhance client service with this tool.
Encounter Fast and Client Service Initiatives:
- Wrapped up an encounter fast on Saturday, looking forward to the Men’s Encounter beginning on the evening of the 26th. On Saturday, completed pre-injury management setup for commercial clients, with plans to implement a return-to-work program soon. Excited about the positive impact these initiatives will have on client safety, training, value and satisfaction.
Summary:
- Despite the challenges, it was a fruitful week with plenty of business opportunities and referrals.
- Focused on addressing the need for improved client service while pursuing new business prospects.
- Looking forward to the upcoming week with ambitious goals, including potentially adding the insurance agency app and hiring an account manager.
Thanks for joining me on this journey, and here’s to another week of growth and success!
Best regards, Jeremy Ochsner
